“Architecture domesticates limitless space and enables us to inhabit it...”

Converse
Initially, all projects begin with an interview where we can meet each other and discuss your project goals. Afterward, you will receive a proposal that outlines the project understanding, design process, and fee.
Contemplate
[PREDESIGN]
This is the “gathering of information” phase. Preliminary zoning research happens, measuring of any existing conditions and gathering of programming information and precedents.
Create
[SCHEMATIC DESIGN]
This is your “napkin sketch” phase. After information is processed, it’s time to get ideas on paper! Preliminary design ideas are sketched out for your feedback. This process can continue until you like the direction of the design.
[DESIGN DEVELOPMENT]
The chosen design is hard-lined to show more detail. Then, a deeper conversation can be had regarding specific features that may include window locations, ceiling heights, interior and exterior materials, detailed spatial layouts, cabinetry, etc. Once these more detailed items have been addressed, the drawings will need more information for permits and building.

Construct
[CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS]
Information is now added to the drawings that will contain things like: Dimensions, Finishes, Door and Window types, and overall Design Intent. Depending on the scale of your project, more could be added to this list for the permitting officials and builder to have adequate information.
[CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION]
During this final phase of the project, I will be on-site at various times to oversee construction. The purpose of this is to answer any questions the builder may have and to ensure that the design intent is followed through. This phase and my involvement also varies based on the scope of your project, and your desired level of administration.
My purpose throughout this entire process is to listen to your overall goals and interpret them into an eloquent design. This design will respond to the surrounding context, the intended use, and create a safe and positive spatial experience.
I look forward to meeting and getting the process started!
